We first met Todd and Chanteau when they came to get a rooster we needed to rehome and immediately we knew they were great people who cared about their animals and very knowledgeable. I mentioned I had been wanting silkies but read they were hard to keep but Chanteau told me about them and that it was just the opposite. We decided to make the hour trip to visit the farm and came home with 4 new baby silkies that we loved so much we went back 2 weeks later and came home with 4 more. We felt a connection with Todd and Chanteau and had a great time touring the farm and learning about the many different breeds of chickens and they took time to connect with my son which is a huge plus for me. I can’t wait to go back and get more chicks 😁 Please go check them out, you won’t be disappointed. One of the silkies we got from them.

We went to Crooked Toe Hatchery to get chicks for our children’s 4-H chick raising project, but we got so much more! Chanteau and Todd showed us around explained all their different breeds and how they are working and evolving with their enclosures and nesting boxes, we learned a lot in the short time we spent with them and the experience was well worth the trip. So Blessed to of found this wonderful farm/Hatchery! Chanteau and Todd were the perfect host in giving up a tour! Very knowledgeable about their birds!!! I went to purchase only 1 breed and left with more! Can’t wait to see these chicks grow out to adults!!! Looking forward to doing more Bussiness in the near future!!! Thanks for being available!!!

Had a great time today at Crooked Toe Hatchery!! Brought my 2 toddlers, and we saw and learned so much-beautiful chickens on a beautiful farm, baby chicks hatching, incubators, and friendly people! We will be back for more chicks/chickens in the future! Thanks for the fun and happy, healthy chicks!

My son and I went to the hatchery today to get new babies and we were having a hard time deciding between Silkies and Polish and Todd and Chanteau are so knowledgeable they helped us decide that silkies were the best for us and took the time to give us a tour of the farm. My son loved getting to pet and see all of the animals. We will definitely be going back soon for more babies. Thank you for taking time to show us around and sharing your knowledge with us!

Crooked Toe Hatchery is a wonderful place to visit and acquire quality chickens or roosters. Chanteau and Todd are very knowledgeable and willing to help someone understand what the breeds have to offer and help select healthy birds. As a newbie, this was important that I could trust their help in choosing my 4 new babies that would incorporate well with the 2 I already had. They have a full, well organized, and clean set up. It is easy to see their excitement and love of developing good breed lines. Thank you for your patience with this new chicken moma and help. It was really encouraging to be contacted 2 days later to check in on how the birds were doing and answer additional questions.

This farm is absolutely stunning…. and I’m not just talking about the chickens! Todd and Chanteau were wonderful tour guides and I felt welcomed as I entered the farm. The birds are gorgeous and a tour of all of the animals is a must! They are very knowledgeable and you can tell that they strive to breed the happiest and healthiest chicken possible. This is definitely my go to hatchery now! 10/10 recommend!

About five weeks ago we Purchased four Buff Orpingtons at the point of lay. Absolutely gorgeous birds with wonderful personalities! Very healthy. LOVE these birds! This is our second time purchasing birds from Chanteau and Todd and we will get more when we need more birds. The time and effort they give their chickens shows!
